JHL Commercial Properties handles property management and leasing for ±1,000,000 (a million) square feet of office, warehouse, medical and retail space.  By using state-of-the-art technology to access nationwide databases, JHL serves the needs of Northern California commercial property buyers, sellers, and tenants.  

We feel the successful marketing and managing of a property is the result of a strong team effort on the part of the Owner, property manager, and leasing and sales agents.  JHL Commercial Properties is small enough to give the Property Owner the personal one-on-one attention they deserve together with the tools and experienced staff to provide the excellent service they expect.


Company History

Founded in 1988 by James B. Henry and Lynn S Hill, JHL is a full-service commercial real estate company specializing in property management, leasing and sales in Napa, Sonoma and Solano Counties. Our office is located in Napa, where I-12 and I-29 convene, putting us midway between Sacramento and San Francisco, affording us access to all of Northern California.

Since 1988, JHL has become one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the area representing over 1,000,000 square feet of leased and managed properties. Our focus enables us to be responsive to the needs of the commercial property owner, tenant, investor or developer.  As a property management company, JHL strives to manage properties efficiently and effectively. We believe a pro-active/preventive maintenance philosophy keeps our properties running smoothly while minimizing expenses to owners.

We work with property owners to ensure their tenants have a comfortable and safe place to conduct business. Our proactive approach to property management, training and safety has enabled us to accomplish this goal.

It is imperative to keep abreast of current issues in the property management industry. Our staff regularly attends seminars on issues essential to keep an owner’s property in the best possible condition.  We attend trade shows as well, some sponsored by ICSC, BOMA and IREM. Recently attended seminars include training in Green Building, asphalt maintenace, AIR leasing, mold compliance issues, computer training for HVAC Systems and security and automatic door software administration.

We are also members of several local, state and national professional organizations including local Chamber of Commerce Chapters in Napa and Solano Counties, the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), The Travis Regional Armed Forces Committee (TRAFC),  and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). JHL employees are also members of Local Service clubs including Kiwanis and Rotary.

One of our Owners and lead Property Manager, Lynn S Hill, received his Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) Designation from The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). Holders of the CPM® Designation are trained to professionally handle the full range of management tasks with skills that encompass the asset management, administrative, legal, social, economic and physical areas essential to property performance.  Mr. Hill is one of only a select few Certified Property Managers® in Northern California.
